What Are Groups?
The concept of the group within SwingAcademy is similar to that of other social networking sites in that it compartmentalizes content and restricts access to authorized members. What this means in SwingAcademy terms is that groups are a place to keep videos, comments and analysis away from the general public and make them visible only to members who have been invited to the group by the group owner or by group administrators.

Who Should Use Groups?
Though SwingAcademy was started as a free website where all content and activity was visible to every member, it became clear to us that there is a strong need for privacy among many of our members.
You may be a candidate for creating a group if you are:
- Someone who wants to use the technology solely for personal analysis
- An instructor looking to use SwingAcademy to extend the reach to your students
- A parent of a minor who wishes to keep their child's images from being public on the internet

Designed for the individual or small groups of family and friends,

's personal groups are the affordable way to protect your content. Once your group
has been created, you can decide who is allowed to be a member and what their role
is within the group.
Professional Groups:
If you are a teaching professional, you can use our groups to extend your reach to your clients:- Your students can upload videos from their latest trip to the range which you can then analyze, keeping you in contact with your students between sessions
- You can upload and analyze videos from your most recent session that your students can come back to again and again
