I just read in Golf Digest the Top 50 golf teachers. Leadbetter was number two and his going rate is 10,000 dollars a day. Do you thinks hes worth it.

I've never had a one-on-one lesson with Leadbetter, but that being said I don't think he is worth a $10,000 fee (if that is really how much he charges www.davidleadbetter.com and www.leadbetter.com don't have his fees listed on the sites).

Based on the magazine articles, books, and dvds he has done in the last few years it seems the quality of his instruction has decreased significantly since the time he worked with Nick Faldo. I've also got the distinct impression that many of his students (including pros like Faldo, Norman, Els, Howell, Price, and others) spent more time working with his assistants then they did with him.

If you send a copy of your swing to the Golf Channel's the Turn you could get a free video lesson from him. Its not the same as a live one-on-one lesson for a day, but it may provide you with some of the same advice for free.

I'm not a Leadbetter fan, but if his players believe it's worth it, than I'm not going to knock a guy for making money. He teaches a much different style from what I teach

He is worth every penny. I spent a month down at Champions Gate. I went to a 3 day session he has for P.G.A. Professionals on his teaching phillosophy, Then I spent 3 Weeks with Steve Walkulsky (Director of Training at the time) Working on my swing. I stayed in an apartment a mile from Champions Gate. Total Bill was less than $5000.00. The faciliy is worth the price of admission, not to mention the high profile people you have the opportunity to interact with. The month I was out there Lead was on site about 16 Days out of the 30 days I was there, giving lessons, so a few people think he's worth it. I had the chance to talk to him in the locker room a couple of times. Super Nice Guy!
