I can't say I've ever seen an amateur golfer flat at the top. You're Matt Kuchar flat. But that's not really a problem, if anything, it may be a good thing. Rick pointed out your follow through plane is too steep, which I do agree with, if it's true. I think it's the camera angle more than anything. Your camera should be directly behind you, but it's not, it's off to the side a bit. This makes the follow through plane look steep. Try and get some video with the camera looking straight down the target line.

Then I would work on two things:

1. Make sure to have your clubs properly fitted. It's cheap, just go into a golf shop and ask about it. Not all clubs can be bent, but they can at least check your lie angle. If you hit from a lie board and find you're really flat, like 4° or more, then it might be time to steepen the swing. If you're within 3° in either direction, then your swing plane is probably ok.

2. Work on your takeaway. Put a stand bag or a chair behind you, so that if you come back too flat, you'll hit it (make sure the lower side is closer to the ball, higher side farther of course). Don't make swings like this, but practice taking it back and getting up over the chair or bag. This can help with the inside takeaway.

Thanks for the comments Shanks. You are correct in your assumption that my swing is awfully flat & the reason for that is i have gone from being a big fader to a big drawer.Everything i did previously is now the opposite & majorly exagerated. It use to be weak grip, very upright, open stance & one plane. Now its strong grip (probably a little too strong at times, flat & 2 planes.I wasnt happy with my ball striking so i soley concentrated on making good contact & this is the result.I must admit i hit the ball alot better now but now i have 2 misses (pull/hook & block) rather than the standard amateur slice.

I'll give your ideas a shot tomorrow & see how it goes.Im desperate to get out of this stagnant rut im in so im in it for the long haul :D

Cheers mate.
