First he just barely makes the cut.. then he dominates.
With an incredible 10 under par on the final day of competition, young Rory McIlroy comes back to win the 2010 Quail Hollow Golf Chamopinship. At 20 years old, Rory set the course record with a 62 in his final round. He finished off the miracle by going 5 under on the last 5 holes, including an eagle on the fifteenth hole.
He was simply on fire, and it was an amazing moment for golf to show the talent potential currently being groomed in the PGA system. "I suppose I got into the zone," said McIlroy after his 4 stroke victory over Phil 'Lefty' Mickelson. He sure was. Winning a cool $1.15 million in the meantime. Great job Rory, you have a bright future ahead of you.
