When trying to think up what to say about someone's swing, I often find myself watching another person's swing to verify my comments.
Forinstance, "You stood up and lost your spine angle here".
I think a very valuable tool might be to be able to: (1) allow side by side comparisons of your own swing with any other swingacademy video you select. (2) allow swing analysts to show you good examples of what the golfer isn't doing so well.
Maybe these can be "Premium" features ;)
On the same note, possibly some "Textbook" swings could serve as models for surfers to view so they can analyze themselves. Access to these "Textbook" videos could be Premium features as well.
Keep up your great work Swing Academy !

I have always felt that comparing your swing with another person's swing is a bad idea. No two people are built the same, and no two people swing the same, and (and this is the most important) no ones swing is perfect.
There is something to be said for comparing some very general things, like spine angle through the swing, or plane, but these can be illustrated better by the line drawing tools, and watching other swings in general.
That being said, the Side by Side feature does allow you to compare yourself to someone else.

Side By Side already exists.. Click on the featured SBS from the home page to see how it works.

This is what you can do.. compare your swing with any other swing in the SwingAcademy Public Group. Now, whether you consider any of those to be Textbook.. is up to you. To use the SBS, click on the Videos tab and then look for the button at the bottom left that says 'Launch SBS'

Yes, that was kind of what I was also saying... I mean, the SBS feature has been there (I figured he knew about it, but maybe he didn't), I was just curious as to what exactly would compromise a 'textbook' swing.

What I was suggesting was that SwingAcademy itself should make SBS comparisons easier and more accessible. Maybe this could be a "Professional" feature for people whom pay for a swingacademy membership. I could also be used by people analyzing the swing to "SHOW" how their swing differs from another swing.

Very nice suggestion S&T.
You have probably noticed that we are constantly changing the site though not with the haste that we all would like.
There are big plans for the player and it incorporates most of what you have described. The points you make that were not originally planned will be strongly considered as I believe they truly have merit.
Thanks for sharing and helping us become better.
