www.youtube.com/watch I think this video is a great explanation of the grip, i almost prefer a bit stronger grip than what he shows. the funny thing about grip is: ppl will tell you THIS is how you grip the club BUT the grip is such a personal thing. If you think grip is supposed to be a certain way and you dont take into account the persons setup and their ball flight, you can REALLY screw someone up !! Look at two pros and they will both setup, grip, aim, swing, different. Work what ya got, and if you dont like what ya got, go see an instructor.
here is another good vid www.youtube.com/watch

Well, I think that I must be a "Grip Nazi". As I think strong grips should be only reserved for people whom have handicaps in the single digits or someone who has a neutral grip but chooses a strong grip for more power, or some good reason.

I guess what I'm trying to say Stack is that a lot of ppl say that the grip IS a fundamental.... BUT IT IS NOT !!!! I would experiment with the grip and use what works best for YOU.

I played with a REALLY strong grip when I was a pure "rotary" swinger. The problem was my right hand got under the club and the clubhead came way inside during the backswing.
I still have a strong grip, V of my right hand points right up my forearm to my right shoulder. But, the big key is my hinge. I make sure to hinge the club UP while keeping my hands in line with the center of my chest for as long as I can. I do those things, I get the club on a good plane going back and the results are normally good shots.

Cool idea randomhero1090. What does keep my hands in line with the center of my chest for as long as I can mean ? I need to know more to understand how I can check to see if I do that ! :)
